e-paper? i-paper? digipaper?

I remember reading an article in Wired about 13 years ago, about how the future would feature electronic flexible screens that would display news, messages and any other content we wanted. We're getting there - albeit slowly - with things like the iPhone and BlackBerrys, but the idea of a folding super compact and customizable interface is still the realm of the future.

But it's coming. Oh yes, it's coming.

What I find most amusing about it is all the pictures you see of the paper in use. So many of them have the same layouts as traditional newspapers. It's just taking one medium and dumping it on another. If that's how epaper is being sold to the masses, I can see how it's not catching on.
