3 a.m. Can't sleep. Watching M.A.S.H. and Magnum P.I. reruns. Then that Shamwow guy comes on the screen and the volume goes so high that people two blocks away are calling to complain.
But no more. Oh no my friend, the world is safe now.
A democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives has tabled a motion that would ask the FCC to force commercials to tone down the late night volume. Advertisers and broadcasters say it's not necessary as they already have a plan, they just can't remember where they put it.
