But a combination of recession and low-priced semi-quality consumer goods has led to a rise in sales as more people stay home and look to cut certain corners when it comes to spending.

So much so that infomercials have moved from late-night time slots to prime time. Curl up in your Snuggie while you watch CSI or The Hills.
